Labor Day Weekend in Los Angeles - DTLA

Yet another weekend devoted to art and food, this time DTLA.

After hearing so much about Egg Slut, I got to try it in the Grand Central Market. Went for drinks and cool off next door in the rooftop bar, Porch. Then explored the Broad, which amazingly got into Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Room. The coolest 45 seconds.

The next day was for food trucks and night markets. Smorgasbord LA was a real treat. A small place by the warehouses in the east side of DTLA, but all the food there high quality. I had the lobster at Lobsterdamus and matcha latte at Young Bud. Explored Little Tokyo, which our hotel was situated by. There was a wishing tree that day, so I took advantage of it and wrote a wish. Every bit counts. In the evening, the biggest feast of all awaited at the 626 Night Market. There were a lot of Taiwanese options, so I had my favorite Gua Bao and then tried the Ramen Burger for the first time - surprisingly delicious.

After all the eating, the last day of the weekend was spent hiking up to Griffith Observatory from the Trails Cafe. Weather was nicer that day and luckily had a friend who works at the Observatory with us to give us a mini tour, as the place is closed on Mondays. The last night, we went to a new Korean BBQ place called The Paan, and quality was superb as expected.
