Marin Headlands / Cataract Falls

Last weekend, my friends and I drove an hour up North of San Francisco to go hiking in Marin county. The hiking trail is called Cataract Falls and it was one of the most difficult hikes to date. Most of the way up was through man-made wooden staircases, but seeing the waterfalls and the diverse scenery made the trek bearable and definitely worth it.

We got lost mid-way in the hike and somehow missed a turn. But it led us out of the woods and into the view on top of the headlands. Pictures could barely do it justice, but the weather was so perfect, we stared at the Bay Bridge and the city sky line while feasting on our snacks.

The Dinner Party Download

Some of us have those long, one-hour commute to work... that's why I was so excited to stumble across a podcast show called 'Dinner Party Download', while reading Goop. Like most people, I started getting into podcasts after the second episode of Serial. Then it was down the rabbit hole of countless radio shows that my brain could dig into and learn something new along the way.

Dinner Party Download is my cup of tea. Each week the two hosts,Rico Gagliano and Brendan Francis Newnam, interview multiple people in a catered manner that resembles a real dinner party. It starts with an ice breaker joke, then a history lesson accompanied by a cocktail based on that story. They always feature cool celebrities and musicians who offer a playlist of what they would play if they hosted a dinner party.
