* the mill coffee house, sacramento

The Mill is my newest favorite spot in Sacramento. I discovered it from Ashley from Hither & Tither, and ever since, it's my go-to place to relax on the weekend and catch up on work or anything I've missed during the week.

They serve coffee from Temple Coffee Roasters and play jazz in the background (once, it played a modern rendition of Mauriat's Love is Blue). The wooden furnitures were handmade, constructed by the owners and natural light was aplenty.

My hidden gem in the city.

Eating Oysters at the Marshall Store

My friend and I took a relaxing road trip to Point Reyes from San Francisco. It's a short drive North from the Golden Gate Bridge and a good getaway from the loudness of the city. We had lunch at the Marshall Store, which serves some of the most fresh oysters in the Bay (the BBQ oysters were our favorite). Then we kicked back and enjoyed the bright view of the waters from our patio seats.

Hiking in Auburn

A couple months ago, I joined a dance fitness class and it gave me a new positive energy to my current lifestyle. The group is so supportive that they quickly became like family. We went on an a hike to Hidden Falls, in Auburn, CA as one of the annual trips with the group.

The water was scant due to the serious drought in California. We could really see the effects of it from the waterfall and rivers this Summer. Sometimes, we take for granted the resources that we have when we don't see the changing effects happening to our natural surroundings right in our backyard.
